Balloon Care Instructions

How do I get the best from my balloons?

While we use the highest quality balloons and take every precaution necessary with your balloons to ensure they last through your event, once the balloons leave our door or we have left the venue, they are out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs.

Our balloons are created with a lot of love and we know that you want to get the best from your displays. These handy tips will help you care for them once they have left our studio.

Balloons & Temperature

Never, ever leave your balloons in a hot car! Helium (and, to some extent, air) expands in the heat and this can cause your balloons to pop. If you are transporting balloons in a vehicle on a hot day we recommend using air conditioning.

Once inside, do not leave your balloons near a heat source such as a radiator or a window.

When some balloons are exposed to cold they will begin to deflate and droop. Don’t worry, they will re inflate once at room temperature again.

Latex balloons are designed for indoor use. Exposure to heat sources or sunshine will speed up the biodegrading process and your balloons will become dull, or ‘oxidised’.

Balloon Risks

Whilst we only ever use CE marked balloons, they are not a toy and can be a hazard. Children should NEVER be left unattended with balloons.

Un inflated or burst balloons and their contents can be a choking hazard and ribbons and balloon adornments can pose a strangulation risk.

Please keep pets away from balloons. Their claws can easily damage or burst displays and they may risk becoming tangled in them or choking on burst or un inflated balloons and contents.

If a balloon pops please clear away all damaged balloon and contents (if applicable) immediately.

Allergies

Many balloons are made of natural rubber latex and may cause allergies. Please look out for symptoms and seek immediate medical attention in case of allergies.

Helium

Inhaling helium can be dangerous and it is not recommended. It can deprive your body of oxygen and can result in a fatality.

Uneven surfaces

Light fittings, paint textures, irregular surfaces and even static can all pop balloons. If you are planning on placing your balloons on a ceiling, ensure that you test it first. Please take great care when transporting or moving balloons.

Balloons and the Environment

At the end of a balloon's life, cut the end of the balloon with scissors to remove any air or balloon gas, then dispose of it in the bin. NEVER release balloons into the environment. ALL released balloons become litter. They can get caught up in trees or power lines and harm wildlife.

Remember - Don't Let Go & Pin It and Bin It
